Connecticut’s Paid Family Medical Leave program has some important deadlines coming up. Employers with one or more employees must remit employee contributions in full by April 30, 2023 to avoid penalties and interest.
Employee contributions started in January 2021 and it’s the employer’s responsibility to ensure deductions were properly made. The CT Paid Leave Authority will begin assessing penalties and interest on delinquent or incomplete contributions as of May 1, 2023.
